Quotation and hire period
The quotation records the hired item, monthly charge, deposit, delivery and collection charges, minimum term and site. Hire begins on delivery or collection and continues until the item is returned and accepted. Charges remain due during the agreed period, including while collection is being reasonably arranged.
Payment and deposit
Hire charges are payable as stated on the invoice. A deposit may be required before dispatch and may be applied to unpaid charges, cleaning, damage or loss. Any remaining balance is refunded after inspection, subject to the agreed terms.
Customer responsibilities
The customer must provide safe, lawful and suitable access and level ground; obtain permissions; use the container only for its agreed purpose; keep it secure; and not move, alter, sublet or overload it without written approval. Hazardous, illegal, explosive, perishable or environmentally harmful goods may not be stored unless expressly agreed and legally permitted.
Damage, loss and access
The customer is responsible for loss or damage beyond fair wear and tear while the item is under their control. Cargo Path Ways may inspect the item on reasonable notice and may recover it where material payment or safety obligations are breached, subject to applicable law.
Ending hire
Give the notice stated in the quotation. The item must be empty, accessible and in substantially the condition supplied, allowing fair wear and tear. Failed collection caused by access problems may result in an additional call-out or transport charge.
